SANDF Soldiers confiscated all 4 x stolen/hijacked vehicles driving towards the Limpopo River to Zimbabwe

1 SA Tank Regiment deployed under Joint Tactical Headquarters Limpopo recovered millions worth of luxury, high-performance vehicles in one night.

Members of 1 SA Tank Regiment were busy with Waylays operations on the Western side of Mabiligwe 2, when they spotted 4 x vehicles driving towards the Limpopo River. SANDF soldiers had to manoeuvre in the right place where they assumed that the vehicles would try to cross. But unfortunately, as there is no road, the vehicles changed direction and that forced SANDF soldiers to break cover. Once approached, the occupants started shooting at SANDF soldiers and the SA National Defence Force members returned fire. The suspects escaped into the bushes and were swallowed by the dark night.

The SA National Defence Force members confiscated all 4 x vehicles which were all identified as Toyota Fortuner GD 6, 4 x 4. The two were T/Fortuner 2.8 GD 6 valued at R2, 400, 000-00 and the other two were T/Fortuner 2.4 GD 6 valued at R1, 800, 000-00. All vehicles were handed over to the South African Police Services.
