For the past 3 Nights (07 June 2022 to 10 June 2022), The Acting Company Commander Captain M.N. Sani, together with her company members (Bravo Company) has recovered stolen vehicles that were to be smuggled into Mozambique. The recovered vehicles include the 2017 Toyota Fortuner valued at R 450 000.00, the 2019 Toyota Fortuner valued at R 650 000.00 and the 2020 Toyota Hilux valued at R 700 000.00. Most of the recovered vehicles are reported stolen from the Gauteng Province. All the recovered vehicles were handed over to Tonga SA Police Service for further investigation.
The past few days have been joyful and it was celebrations all the way for Joint Tactical Headquarters Mpumalanga as the successes came in pouring from the members of 9 South African Infantry Battalion. The battalion has been deployed in the area since April 2022 and Bravo Company is deployed at the Macadamia Area of Operation. The Company has been working hard in preventing the illegal crossing of goods and apprehending illegal immigrants from Mozambique into the Republic of South Africa. The goods include and are not limited to contrabands and pharmaceuticals from Mozambique into the Republic of South Africa and the smuggling of stolen vehicles from RSA to Mozambique.
