A white VW Golf Citi Storm that was stolen during a house robbery in Amaotana, KZN was recovered in Inanda, KZN in a joint operation between Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) and Tracker on Saturday.
At approximately 00:01 RUSA was contacted to assist in recovering the vehicle that was emitting signals between Inanda and Ntuzuma. Reaction Officers and Tracker Operational Members converged on the area and honed in on the signal.
Varying signals indicated that the sought after vehicle was still mobile. As First Responders were proceeding up KwaMashu Highway they noticed the VW Golf traveling at a high rate of speed in the opposite direction followed closely by a white Datsun Go+. The registration plates from the VW Golf had been removed.
The suspects abandoned the VW Golf when they realized that they had been spotted.
